A San Antonio man has been charged with the murder of his wife, Suzanne Simpson, who has been missing for a month. Brad Simpson, the 51-year-old mother’s husband, was last seen by a neighbor outside their home on October 7, authorities report.
The Texas Department of Public Safety announced the murder charges on Thursday but did not release further information. A press conference is scheduled for Friday to provide more details. Authorities have not confirmed whether Suzanne Simpson’s body has been found.
Brad Simpson was previously arrested on October 10 for family violence. Court records show that neighbors had called police after hearing the couple arguing, with one witness reportedly seeing them physically fight and hearing yelling from nearby woods.
A federal complaint filed the day after his arrest also accuses Brad Simpson of unlawfully possessing an unregistered short-barrel rifle. The Bexar County Public Defender’s office, representing him, has not yet responded to requests for comment.
